F.A.Q.

  • Chevron down Will we always see dolphins?
  • Definitely Yes! We have nearly 200 “local” Bottled nose dolphins that live here year round. In the summer our visiting dolphins make that total grow up to 400-600!

  • Chevron down What is the Best time of day to see the dolphins?
  • Any time is a good time to see the Bottlenose Dolphin. Like us humans, they need to breathe air and are always coming up to the surface.

  • Chevron down Do the tides affect your boat trips?
  • With our frequent tide changes (approximately every six hours) our 30’ covered pontoon boat can navigate the waters well. The boat can get very close to shore if it needs to. For the best viewing.

  • Chevron down Is it better at low tide or high tide?
  • With the water constantly moving and changing, no two trips are ever the same. The lower tide does bring out more of the wildlife of all of the different bird species. Maybe you could even spot a shark on the shoreline feeding! The higher tides are calmer waters and easier to spot the dolphins.

  • Chevron down Will I be able to feed the dolphin?
  • The Bottlenose Dolphins have a very delicate makeup. So hunting and feeding on fresh fish, crabs, and squid is very important. The Dolphins get their water from eating fresh fish. There is up to a $10,000 dollar fine for feeding the dolphin.

  • Chevron down Do the dolphins come up to the boat?
  • The Captain will get as close to the dolphin that is safe and allowed by the coast guard. The dolphins are very friendly and inquisitive by nature.
